I am just waking up to the news that Pope Francis passed away this morning at 7:35 am Rome time. Although he has been ill, the news takes me by complete shock because he was so present for the last few weeks, and especially this weekend for Easter. I will post more later, but wanted to share an immediate word of prayer for the repose of the soul of our Holy Father. His pontificate has meant so much to me, and I’m so very grateful for his writings, his teachings, and his life.

Thank you Lisa! I too have been blessed by Pope Francis' example, his writings and his teachings. That he died the day after Easter is profound. I am grateful for his papacy and will miss him.
I knew he had recovered from serious illness, but I too was surprised and cried at the news of losing Pope Francis. I am grateful we had him as our Holy Father. Many prayers for him.
